Drekbyte Duka System

Drekbyte Duka is a complete shop management system for small and medium businesses in Tanzania. It suits anything from a single kiosk to a supermarket with several branches and warehouses. We built it around the way local shops really work: customers who pay part in cash and part by M-Pesa, regular customers who buy on credit, goods that move between a warehouse and the shop floor, and owners who want to see the day's money without waiting for the evening count.

Every branch has its own stores, prices, customers and cash drawer, and the owner sees all branches together on one dashboard. Cashiers sell from a fast POS with barcode scanning. Busy shops can split the work: sales staff take the order and a cashier takes the money. Stock is held as soon as an order is made, and the system never sells more than is on the shelf. Purchase orders, deliveries, supplier accounts, transfers between stores, stock takes and expiry dates are all recorded, so you always know what you have, where it is and what you owe.

Money is tracked by payment method and account (cash drawers, mobile money and bank), with cash shifts, Z-reports, refunds, customer credit and debt collection. Every expense records how it was paid, so the cash available for each payment method is always right. More than twenty reports, each with Excel, PDF and print, cover sales, profit, debtors, stock and branches.

For VAT-registered businesses, Drekbyte Duka issues TRA fiscal receipts through the VFD system, with the verification code and QR code on every receipt.

Each client runs on their own secure hosting, with automatic daily backups, a licence managed by Drekbyte, and installation, training and ongoing support from our team in Arusha.
