PayNova – Payroll Management System

PayNova is a cloud payroll system built for employers in Tanzania, from a small business with
ten staff to a group running payroll for several companies. It is made for the way payroll really
works here: basic salary plus allowances, statutory deductions that must be right to the shilling,
HESLB repayments, salary advances and loans, and returns that are due to TRA by the 7th of
every month.
Set up each employee once with their salary, allowances, bank or mobile money details and
statutory numbers. Every month PayNova calculates gross pay, NSSF, PAYE on the current TRA
bands, HESLB and loan deductions, and net pay for the whole company. The run goes through
preparation, checking and approval before anyone is paid, and every change is recorded.
Once a run is approved, payslips are ready to print or email, the bank payment list is prepared,
and the PAYE, SDL, NSSF, WCF and HESLB schedules are ready to download. Reports cover the
payroll register, cost by department, year-to-date figures and the annual PAYE return, each with
Excel, PDF and print.
Several companies can run on one PayNova installation, each with its own employees, users
and data, while a super-admin manages plans and licences for all of them. Each client gets
